Heart of the Hunter Historic Rally 2020
A large field of over 40 historic rally cars gathered at Freeman’s Waterholes, for the start of this years Heart of the Hunter Historic Rally, this year, due to the virus, being run as a register run. Organized by the Australian Historic Rally Group the Heart of the Hunter, again due to the virus, was the first event for the year. A large cross section of cars came out for a days drive around the Hunter Valley, everything from BMW’s to Fiat’s to Alfa’s plus Datsun’s, Toyota’s and a whole lot more.
The event route took competitors to Patterson for Lunch then on the finish at the Potters Brewery near Cessnock.
The weather gave everyone four seasons in one day, with wind and rain at the start and again at the lunch break, but fine and sunny for the most part.
Being starved for car events over the last eight months (Virus) competitors were over joyed to be out and driving their classic car.
Yellow Duck Motorsport were represented by Jim Pope filming the cars go by.
